One day we're gonna live in Paris...

Dress: Fashion Union*// Shoes: Urban Outfitters//Bag: Fashion Union*

I've been such a busy bee this week that blogging has had to take a back seat. I started my new job on Tuesday as a campus brand manager and have had lots of bits and bobs that I've been busy with - juggling all that with work has meant I've been on the go alllll week. It's been pretty crazy, but has resulted in me having to post late in the day!

Anyhow, exciting news, the lovely people at Fashion Union contacted me this week and asked me to choose some items from their site to blog about. I jumped at the chance as Fashion Union's collections really seem to fit with my style, so over the next week or so you'll be getting a little taste of some of their lovely new pieces, starting right now!

Now, as you've probably worked out, I'm not the most girly of girls or bloggers for that matter and my dresses are mainly body-con rather than cutesy. Well, choosing some pieces from Fashion Union made me think about my outfit choices and, as a little experiment, I decided to ask my male flatmates about the items on offer.

One of my flatmates persuaded me to choose this little number, something very floaty and not my usual style, however I've got to admit that I am IN LOVE with it. (So much so, I wore it out on Valentines; I paid more attention to the dress than my lovely boyf!)

The quality of this gorgeous collared dress is to die for, the material is so thick and durable, which makes it look so expensive (without the ridiculous price tag!) and paired with this gorgeous oversized clutch, I think the look is pretty perfect for a meal.

I've used the bag and worn the dress since Valentines (at different times!) and they're such versatile pieces, I honestly couldn't recommend them more!

I've got a few more bits to share with you from the Fashion Union team, so keep your eyes peeled for more updates.

Have a great week!

Monochrome

Coat: Mango// Jumper Dress: Zara// Thermal Leggings: M&S// Scarf: Vintage// Boots: Topshop

I've not posted for a while since getting back to uni, lots of different stuff has been occupying me, some good, some bad, so my blog has had to take a back seat. This weekend I'm home for some family time and last night my little town was transformed into Narnia as the snow began to fall.

Being based in Lancaster for most of the year, I do miss out on the snow at home and have been moaning non-stop about the absence of the white stuff due to Lanc's proximity to the sea. Typical! So I finally got to play in the snow this morning and boy it was worth the wait!

Winter's festive offering was great inspiration for today's outfit, leading me to opt for a monochrome look (very hot for 2013). My jumper dress from Zara (my favourite shop) was £9.99 in the sale, a total bargain and such good quality, teamed with my thermal leggings from M&S (granny chic at its best) and my gorgeous Mango suit coat I was toasty warm but still pretty stylish!

How have you adapted your look for the snow?

Spring's round the corner darlings and I cannot believe how excited I am for the new season fashions. Mint is definitely one of the top colours to rock this Spring and I'm looking for some key pieces to add to my wardrobe. Ice cold colours are also hot right now and I was really drawn to this fabulous tee from DP's, at only £16.00 it ticks the colour and graphic trends so will really be a wardrobe staple.

As you know, I've got a little bit of a 'stripe' addiction, so these espadrilles are my little nod to the lovely Breton print! Geek chic rears its head after New Year with these gorgeous Topshop sandals - perfect for an exotic hol abroad or just for rushing round campus and, when it comes to Spring, floral is a must so these fabulous ASOS rings will go down a treat, adding a little sparkle to your look.

For me this spring is about three things:

1. Minimalist styles
2. Muted and pastel colours.
3. Quirky accessories.
